It was a bad idea to go back to an in-person meeting already, but I’m racked with guilt about exposing probably 50 people and an airplane. I notified my boss and she’s gong to let the meeting organizers know. My dad is old and in poor health and if I exposed him and he gets sick…I just can’t even think about what could happen. The closest thing to any human contact was picking up groceries curbside to bring to my sister’s house Sunday for Mother’s Day.
I actually cried thinking about how many folks I was in contact with in the last three days when I felt fine.Īnd I’m triple vaxxed and basically a hermit. I have literally no idea where I was exposed or when, and wouldn’t have traveled home if I felt as bad as I did when I landed. Was masked the entire time at the airport and on the flight. Slept though the whole flight but woke up with a headache and fever. I felt ok but tired when I boarded the plane. Told my colleagues who were there and they decided to take a separate cab to the airport. Put on a mask and sat in the back of the room and avoided participating in the group discussions (but I had for the last two days). I was out of town for the last three days at a work meeting.
